Our goal is to help you obtain a vocational certificate, associate degree, or transfer to a four-year university in order to attain sustainable employment and become self-sufficient. The ECC CalWORKs Parents Program is dedicated to assisting parents with children who are currently receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids Act (CalWORKs) Proceeds from the Bookstore are used to support the Auxiliary Services Fund and site improvement projects on campus. Textbooks may be purchased online at Click on the Bookstore and order textbooks for home delivery or in-store pickup. The Bookstore will pay up to 50 percent of the original cost on textbooks that are being used for the next term. The best time to sell books is during the last week of a semester or session. EL CAMINO COLLEGE COUNSELING APPOINTMENT FULL
Textbooks must be in the original condition and a student must have his/her register receipt for a full refund. Textbooks purchased for summer sessions can be returned the first three days of the sessions for a full refund. Textbooks can be returned for a full refund during the first week of the fall and spring semesters. Regular hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. The bookstore is owned and operated by El Camino College. The El Camino College Bookstore is located on the north side of campus, adjacent to the staff parking lot off the Manhattan Beach Boulevard entrance at Lemoli Street. Contact the Assessment/ Testing Center for further information or refer to the El Camino College Assessment/Testing webpage at Bookstore Services In addition to English, ESL (Part 1), and mathematics placement tests, the Assessment/Testing Center also administers the following exams: Ability-to- Benefit (ATB), chemistry placement, contemporary health, English as a Second Language (Part 2), and mathematics competency. Placement into classes is based upon test scores and other multiple measures. English, English as a Second Language (ESL) (Part 1) and mathematics placement testing are computerized and available on a drop-in basis according to posted hours. The Assessment/Testing Center is located in Room 217, on the second floor of the Student Services Center building. Students enrolled in short-term classes may contact the Cashier’s Office at to determine the last day to decline purchasing the Discount Program.
After this date, students will be unable to decline the purchase of the Discount Program or receive a refund. Students have until the last day of the add/drop period of full-term courses to decline purchasing the ASO Discount Program and receive a refund. Students may choose to decline purchasing the ASO Discount Program when paying their fees online or at the Cashier’s Office. To use the ASO Benefit Package during winter term, students may purchase the fall semester discounts. Discounted tickets may be purchased at the Marsee Auditorium Ticket Office and online through Employee Savings Tickets at To use the ASO Discount Program during summer term, students may purchase the spring semester Package.

The Associated Students Organization (ASO) Discount Program offers students discounts for El Camino College athletic events, Center for the Arts events, select local restaurants/businesses, and admission to participating movie theaters and amusement parks.
